At Parker, we use the latest technologies and our longstanding engineering expertise to bring bioprocessing to life. By utilizing the latest innovations and technical advances in biopharma engineering we create processing solutions that make a positive difference both to the industry and people’s lives.
The use of automation in running complex single use processes has many benefits including improving process control and consistency, increasing speed, and reducing human error deviations. It also frees up operators to be used in other areas of the bioprocess - enabling more efficient use of resource.
The introduction of automation into a bioprocess can make signficant positive impact on traditionally labour-intensive operations such as normal flow filtration (NFF), tangential flow filtration (TFF) and final bulk filtration and dispense.
Elimination of variation derived from operational and environmental inputs offers reproducible product quality.
An automated, enclosed process means operators will not be exposed to potentially potent biologic drug products.
Automation reduces the need for manual labour, minimizes product loss and decreases batch turnaround time.
Automated data acquisition, analysis and control facilitates compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 and GMP standards.
Normal Flow Filtration
The SciLog® NFF is a configurable semi-automated single use bioprocessing system for normal flow filtration for use in pilot to production-scale operations. Applications include cell harvesting, buffer preparation, product clarification, viral filtration and sterile filtration.
Tangential Flow Filtration
Suitable for diafiltration and concentration (ultrafiltration and microfiltration) applications, the SciLog® TFF is a fully automated tangential flow filtration system with a modular design allowing it to be tailored to your process specifications.
Bulk Filtration and Dispense
The SciLog® FD System is an automated single use system for bulk filtration and dispensing of biopharmaceuticals into either bags or bottles.
Case Study
There is no ”one size fits all” approach for biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. Every site is different and can come with its own set of constraints. And that can mean that integrating a filtration system into a customer’s site isn’t always straightforward.
Case Study
Increasing production levels – and achieving this within a tight timeframe – can be a major challenge for biopharmaceutical manufacturers. Often, a bespoke bulk filling solution is required to achieve the manufacturer’s objectives.
