Fuel bladder

Ground-breaking, patented crash resistant and ballistically tolerant technologies that keep those who put their lives on the line safer.

Our fuel bladders are crash resistant and incorporate ballistic tolerant technology that can reduce fire-related fatalities to practically zero.

30 years ago, we launched our long-life, lightweight bladder fuel cells based on polyurethane technology. To date we’ve supplied 200,000+ to a wide range of military and civil aircraft.

Fire suppression system

An ATA Chapter 26 fire protection system offering high accuracy, high reliability, and low maintenance costs.

Our systems are designed to meet the requirements of ATA Chapter 26 fire protection and integrate the following:

• Fire extinguisher

• Pneumatic fire detectors with support tube, or

• Thermistor fire detector

• Fire detector control unit (A320neo)

• Cargo smoke detector (777F)

The equipment is optimized to identify a fire or overheat condition and communicate this to the cockpit. The cockpit then shows an alarm that instructs the pilot to trigger the fire extinguishers to suppress the fire.

Parker Aerospace pneumatic fire detectors are the number-one choice for the aerospace and defense market, providing high accuracy, high reliability, and no maintenance costs.

Our latest model 604 smoke detector includes a particle discrimination capability. The detector can differentiate between smoke, pollen, dust, and other particles to ensure there are no false alarms reported, helping airlines avoid disruptions.

Fire suppression system (bottle type)

Patented VERDAGENT® suppressive agent is cleaner, greener, and more effective in cargo applications.

Our fire extinguishers are used on aircraft engines, auxilliary power units (APU), and cargo areas.

Aircraft fire extinguishing is evolving with the introduction of green suppressive agents as a replacement for the ozone-depleting agents currently in use. Parker Aerospace is at the forefront of this technology change with our own patented suppressive agent called VERDAGENT®, designed for use in cargo, engine and APU applications. We are also leading the way in the certification of CF3I delivery systems for engine/APU applications.
