The electrification of off-road mobile machines represents a serious challenge for construction vehicle fleet managers and to the major players in the agricultural and construction markets, who need to offer zero-emission machines in their extensive range of models.

Hydrokit partners with Parker Hannifin and Forsee Power. This integrator designs, manufactures and integrates complete kits for electrifying diesel powered off-road vehicles, as well as zero-emission power units.

Mobile machinery manufacturers can convert their vehicles in less than a year for a first machine, or a few months for mass production, at controlled costs. CO2 emissions are nil during use. Noise pollution is greatly reduced, as are maintenance costs.

Hydrokit, a part of the Vensys group, is renowned for its hydraulic kits designed for the agricultural, construction, and industrial sectors. In its quest to develop low-carbon solutions, Hydrokit has partnered with Parker Hannifin and Forsee Power. This partnership allows Hydrokit to integrate Parker Hannifin motors and variable speed drives, and Forsee Power electric batteries into its kits.

The company's strength lies in its turnkey electrification solutions, which are backed by the credibility of Parker products. Hydrokit offers a generic platform with standard, qualified components and interfaces adaptable to electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic needs, facilitating easy integration into machines.

Reliability, quality and a culture of openness

Hydrokit values the reliability & quality of Parker solutions. Parker's culture of sharing information openly has been instrumental in the partnership. Hydrokit is set to become Parker’s second "Certified Mobile Electrification Centers" in France, aiming to assist mobile equipment manufacturers in electrifying their machines. Nicolas Gazeau, in charge of innovation and market intelligence for Vensys Group, confirms that Hydrokit's full solution extends from the interface with the hydraulic pump to the man-machine interface (MMI).

CO2 emissions reduced by 50% compared with a new electric machine

Retrofit electrification, a key offering from Hydrokit, can significantly reduce the environmental impact of mobile machines. By reusing existing equipment, CO2 emissions can be halved compared to a new electric machine, contributing to a more sustainable operation.

Potential of electrification

Despite the clear benefits of electrification, François Brochard, head of electrification activities at In Situ and the Vensys Group, observes a lack of visibility on potential technical electrical solutions among end-users. Hydrokit plans to address this gap with its range of electric kits and gensets. Francçois Brochard also advocates for purchasing subsidies to stimulate the energy transition among construction and agricultural professionals.

They are specialized in mobile machine electrification and carefully selected by Parker for its application and machine experience. The Certified Mobile Electrification Centers assist mobile equipment manufacturers in electrification of their machinery, making transformation fast and easy.
