Parker and students from Aachen University develop ‘Agile Sales of the Future’

Kaarst, Germany,7th November 2024 – Parker Hannifin, the global leader in motion and control technology, teamed up with students from the Aachen University of Applied Sciences on a sales project in Industrial Engineering, a field vital for driving innovation and advancing solutions to some of the biggest challenges of our times.

Students enrolled in the course were tasked with solving a problem in the area of technical sales posed by Parker engineers and presented the results of their work to the company’s management team in Germany.

Over the course of the cooperation, students gained insights into the corporate processes and sales structures of an engineering company, exploring the potential to transform their ideas into tangible solutions and promising career paths in the field.

This partnership highlights the importance of university-industry collaboration in driving innovation, bridging the gap between academia and real-world applications, and ensuring a pipeline of well-prepared future engineers and leaders.

In the project with Parker, the students got to know real operational problems and worked out practical solutions together with the company's experts - a real win-win partnership”, add the university supervisors of the project, Prof. Walter Reichert and Prof. Wolfram Pietsch.
