Parkers cost-effective, safe and easy to implement solution for traction and work functions.

CHALLENGE:

ACHIEVE ZERO-EMISSION

Encompassing both traction and hydraulic power, optimized for a battery voltage set at 48 Vdc. Ensuring a compact and efficient solution, offering the versatility of two distinct power levels to meet a wide range of operational requirements.

SOLUTION:

NX8M LOW VOLTAGE MOTOR

Parker’s NX86HM for traction and NX82HM SAE A is the preferred choice for powering electrohydraulic pumps. The system is completed using two associated GVI inverters, ensuring optimal power conversion and control.

BENEFITS:

COST-EFFECTIVE AND EASY TO IMPLEMENT SOLUTION

The solution offers unparalleled flexibility by utilizing the same type of motor and inverter for both functions. In addition this solution is a combination of high power density, cost efficiency and quieter operation.

Driven by new regulations and the need to reduce emissions, the customer is looking for a reliable and economical solution to electrify his vehicle.

Primarily because these machines are often used in urban environments, cities are increasingly looking to lower exhaust emissions and noise. Electric tractors are dedicated to work in sound-sensitive environments with high standards of cleanliness, both indoors and outdoors. Therefore, it is well suited for be used in farming, landscaping, construction sites, parks and for property maintenance.

Meet the Challenge

Parker’s NX86HM SAE A has been specifically designed for traction applications, providing a tailored solution for shaft adaptation and cold plates according to customer requirements. In addition, the NX82HM SAE A is the preferred choice for powering electrohydraulic pumps, further enhancing the system’s performance and efficiency. The NX8M modular motor range is available in three different lengths offering speeds up to 5000 rpm and rated power up to 20 kW. Among the major benefits of the NX8M motor series, which is available for battery voltages from 24Vdc to 96Vdc, is its ease of implementation. The availability of four threaded holes on all sides provides an easy mechanical mounting interface. In addition, the motor is ready to fit via the direct SAE A pumpmounting interface (ISO 3019/2 as an option), while lugs facilitate the easy connection of power cables. The result is a hassle-free installation that minimises both cost and project lead times. In contrast to high-voltage systems, the 48V on-board electrical system does not need special safety requirements. This is a safe way to electrify small vehicles.

Each motor is combined with its associated GVI inverter, operating at 48 Vdc, ensuring optimal power conversion and control. In addition, to access to the best possible product selection and commissioning, Parker extends its comprehensive technical support to all customers, ensuring a seamless integration process and optimal system performance.

Benefits

• Easy mechanical mounting with fixing locations on all 4 sides

• Direct SAE A, ISO 3019/2 pump mounting interface (SAE B shaft available on request)

• On the same standard motor frame, performance can be extended using optional cold plates.

• Parker is the customers’ onestop-shop supplier with the complete inverter + motor + pump package

NX8M with cooling cold plates

Although designed for natural convection cooling at ambient operating temperatures of -20°C to +60°C, it is possible to increase the torque and power performances of the motor simply by adding cold plates to its sides.
