IMPROVED MOBILITY AND INCREASED EFFICIENCY

The Parker Central Tyre Inflation System, or CTIS, is an enhanced electronically controlled tyre inflation system designed to offer improved mobility, productivity and efficiency for vehicles operating on varying terrain. The system offers extended tyre pressure operating ranges and allows the driver to optimize tyre inflation from the cab with the simple push of a button. With industry precedent setting deflation times, the Parker CTIS system provides optimal performance on demand.

 

In military applications, the system allows for a larger tyre footprint to provide additional flotation and traction on different terrain such as soft soil, snow or sand by adjusting tire pressure to account for the changing environments.

 

In applications for the agriculture industry, the system can increase crop yields by reducing soil compaction, wheel slip and rutting, and also improves ride comfort. This system was designed to benefit the soldier in the field trying to quickly and efficiently navigate challenging off-road conditions, and also the farmer looking to increase crop yield by reducing soil compaction. The completely sealed wheel valve design (patented) provides greater reliability during harsh environmental conditions like fording mud and freezing climates.

 

The Parker CTIS also offers independent tyre control with superior fault detection allowing the driver to quickly assess any issues with the vehicle’s tyres during operation.

 

Additionally, the system uses common components across different platform configurations to simplify installation variations. This reduced front-end engineering allows for streamlined training and maintenance, and simplifies logistics due to reduced part numbers.
